One of New York’s most opulent hotels, the Four Seasons hasn’t slipped a notch in its two decades in business. Everybody who’s anybody, from music-industry executives to politicians, continues to drop in for a bit of New York luxury. Renowned architect I.M. Pei came out of retirement to craft its sharp geometric look (in neutral cream and honey tones), and the rooms—which include deep-soak tubs and furnished terraces—are among the largest in the city. (The three-bedroom Royal Suite measures 2,000sq ft.) At 682 feet (52 stories), the Four Seasons is New York’s tallest hotel, and from the higher floors the views are superb.
