Description
Specifically designed with men in mind, this speakeasyesque salon keeps it simple: All appointments include a haircut, scalp massage and shampoo, hot towel, and a manicure with hand massage ($70). You can opt out of the manicure ($60) or stop in between trims for a hand pampering ($15). The staff is small—and entirely female—with just two stylists and a single manicurist. And the salon is tiny too, so you don’t feel overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle that normally plagues large salons. Sit back, relax and don’t forget to grab yourself a cold (free!) beer from the fridge.Hours

Every time I go - same result - awesome. Check it out...
Last time I was in town, I stopped into this place after simply seeing those girls in the window! I went in for what I thought would be an okay cut (desperate for a clean-up at the time) but left with an awesome one. The manicurists, who is no longer there )-: made me feel like I went to a bodyrub joint 10 times in 10 minutes (one orgasm per finger), Ha! Kidding aside, she was just gorgeous... so was my haircut! Go to this joint. Best hair cut in NYC... and that's coming from an LA snob.

Five stars isn't enough as far as I am concerned. I've tried several "men's" salons in the city - Erica Fleischman's is the best because they give you the best haircut. The bells and whistles of the larger men's salons mask the fact that their services are just so-so. Trust me. Go see Janney, and you'll never go to anyone else.

I've been going to this place since they opened and have gotten a great haircut every time. Erica is adorable and takes great care in her work and her shop. This is definitely where a guy can go to feel comfortable. Get your haircut while sitting in a plush leather chair with a cold beer in hand. Money well spent.
