The Living Room
Description
Many local clubs claim to be the place where Norah Jones got her start, but the Living Room is the real McCoy—she even donated a piano as a way of saying thanks. That was in the venue’s old (and drab) location; since it moved to the Lower East Side’s version of Main Street, the stream of singer-songwriters has taken on a bit more gleam, and the warmly lit environs always seem to be bustling. Upstairs is Googie’s Lounge, an even more intimate space.
The Living Room is by far one of the best music venues I’ve been to in NYC. The music selection is always great and the atmosphere is comfortable and not overwhelming, as some other places can be. Also, there’s usually no cover charge and there’s always a great selection of beer on tap.
"I loved it! The Living Room is easily one of the best music venues in New York. There's nothing I love more than a great quality musical performance."
No show at the Living Room is a disappointment. Between the incredible music, the cozy atmosphere and the genial wait staff, this place is quickly becoming my favorite music venue in Manhattan. I’ve been here on weekends and weeknights, and no matter what, the entertainment is always great.
I've been to the Living Room on many different occasions and have always been surprised and delighted with the eclectic acts and musicians. It offers something for everyone in a cozy setting, and it's my favorite place to go in New York City for great live music, bar none! Definitely check it out any night.. no matter what's playing, it's bound to be great!
Looking for great new music to listen to? Look no futher than The Living Room. This place has bands/ solo artists every night, which are often some that I have never heard of, but that are usually amazing. The atmosphere is perfect for hanging out and hearing great music.
