Description
It’s way off the beaten track—the dark outskirts of Brooklyn’s Greenpoint neighborhood—but since opening at the end of 2006, the onetime Polish disco Studio B has been regularly packing hundreds of cool kids onto its ample dance floor. The secret to the club’s success is simple: no attitude, an ace sound system and a forward-thinking booking policy. The list of DJs and bands who have played here is sterling—techno deity Carl Craig, electro-house duo Booka Shade, neo-disco band Escort and the nu-ravey Klaxons are just a small sampling of those who have braved a trip on the G train to rock the house.
