Description
Galapagos is settling into brand-new Dumbo digs—New York City’s first LEED-certified green cultural venue. The stage is cantilevered over a 1,600-square-foot lake, containing island seating. Expect a mix of music, performance art, readings and film screenings. Burlesque and vaudeville nights are weekly staples, while the Mekons have been known to stop by for readings and art events.

The election night party was amazing! I was totally entertained the whole time, and it was a great crowd! the obama "yes we can-can" girls wer adorable. and the victory cosmos at the end of the night were sublime (and free!!). kudos to galapagos for throwing a damn good party!!! ps: the noisemakers and new year's knick-knacks we a great touch :-)
