Description
Apostles of the Roman kitchen will be excited to find this rustic eatery, named for a butchering term that refers to offal. And they would be rightly disappointed to find not a single dish with innards on the menu. The food overall was a letdown: Chickpea soup was bland, and roasted baby lamb presented dry cubes of meat. Desserts failed to lift up the mealboth a chocolate-and-apple torte and a raspberry crostata were encased in stale pastry. Overlooking organ meat is a forgivable offense; overlooking almost everything else is not.

The staff is friendly and knoweldgable about the area of Italy and the food. They are friendly, professional and efficient. I found the food tasty and had plenty of flavor. I think they need to expand their menu and the interrior needs to be redone, but overall, I liked it.
A transporting and romantic spot tucked on a quaint West Village street. We were swept in with the rusticness, an afternoon glow of light and greeted by a welcoming staff. The attentive service started with lovely wines and breads. Then it all went south with the blaring of soul music. The Tonnarelli Salsicchia e Funghi (fresh pasta with sausage, porcini mushrooms and pecorino cheese) and Penne al Pesto de Pictacchio dishes were bland. They need desperate help with the pasta menu. Disappointing.
