Description
The bumbling service and antiseptic white interior mar this Pan-Asian spot from veteran chef-owner Anita Lo (Annisa). The inconsistent menu veers from haute street food (like a failed, oddball entrée of gelatinous tuna ribs) to traditional upscale restaurant fare. A successful stuffed boneless pork sparerib, for example, fuses Thai flavors like peanut and lemongrass with a Vietnamese-style salad and sticky Chinatown pork. The restaurant suffers from conflicting ambitions. Is it destination dining or a casual drop-in? Sadly, it feels like too little of both.
