Description
This culinary odditorium ably captures Upper West Siders famously fickle hearts and stomachs. The fun-house menu of shareable plates has its pitfalls (dry chicken lollipops). Stick to more-assured mains, like the lamb julep, featuring pink loin with mint jelly and falling-off-the-bone bourbon-braised ribs, or the pepper-crusted grass-fed strip steak. The diners seem to approvejudging from the crowded house, it looks like the pleasing food has found its best possible audience.

I've lived in the area for a few years now, and I was anxious to see what had replaced AIXX. To my pleasant surprise, Bloomingdale Road is not too shabby. The decor is a bit confused with its creepy clown picture, modern chic, and urban graffiti... but all-in-all pretty comfortable. The service is great. The food was a bit slow but delicious. My only problem was with one of their managers. He seemed very unstable and I witnessed him being incredibly loud and rude to one of the busboys.
The Decor is great, the chandeliers being my favorite. Our Waitress was very, very nice and attentive eventhough the place was slammed with people. the Food is spicy but it really hit home. the Desserts are amazing and we were told everything is made in house and all ingredients are local, the better to decrease the carbon footprint! I love it!
My wife and I loved all of our dinners, start to finish. Service was good, lighting was cozy, and our table upstairs had a nice view out the window. We recommend the artisanal cheese plate to start. The owner stopped by during the meal to see how everything was, it was great to have that type of attention. We are pleased to have another good restaurant on the Upper West Side.
Very underwhelming. It's not all that often that a potentially interesting restaurant opens on the UWS, so my friends and I checked it out. We were told that the wait was thirty-five minutes, but after a little less than 20 minutes at the (decent) bar we informed the hostess we had changed our minds about waiting and were headed out, and then suddenly a table for five was available. Although the menu seemed interesting, the execution was poor (dry tuna "ribs", chewy steak) and service poor.
