Description
Following a renovation that culminated in barely perceptible design tweaks (the crystal chandeliers now sport silk lamp shades, and gray mohair replaced cotton on the banquettes), Terrance Brennan’s Picholine remains a shrine to fine dining. The bar menu gives diners more ways to taste his handiwork for under $20. And in the dining room, the menu features two-course prix-fixe meals for $64. Dishes like featherlight sheep’s-milk gnocchi with shrimp and chanterelles in parsley pistou exhibit the Mediterranean style of cooking that made Brennan famous. Fromager Max McCalman continues to oversee the notable cheese cellar.
