Description
Unlike so many of its vaunted peers, Jean Georges has not become a shadow of itself: The top-rated food is still breathtaking. A velvety foie gras terrine with spiced fig jam is coated in a thin brûlée shell; a more ascetic dish of green asparagus with rich morels showcases the vegetables essence. Pastry chef Johnny Iuzzinis dessert quartets include late harvesta plum sorbet, verbena-poached pear and a palate cleanser of melon soup with vanilla noodles.

Booked for Nougatine but got seated in Jean Georges. What a let down! The food was possibly the worst gastronomic experience that I have ever had. All in all a place that tries to be too fancy and plays with the food too much. I could not believe that they could "jazz" up a risotto by covering it in citrus foam - the flavors did not work! Complete disappointed and I was so looking forward to a nice evening
I just had lunch there yet again yesterday. Butternut Squash Soup and Goat Cheeze ravioli's. Took my breath away as well. The service staff was wonderful, on time, friendly and informative.
