Description
Unlike so many other shrines to fine dining, this manages to feel like a warm, small-time operation (though one with big-time prices). Owners David and Karen Waltuck present gastronomes with a handwritten menu that changes every four weeks and a serene, elegant space. David Waltuck (winner of the 2007 James Beard Award for best New York chef) is steeped in French tradition, but he also churns out crossover dishes, such as halibut wrapped in prosciutto, paired with a roasted corn ragout.
