Awesome cool vibe at this rustic place. They have a killer Happy Hour. Buy one get one free plus lots of free food at the bar! Stayed after Happy Hour and had Pizza. Thin crust, crispy and very tasty! Reasonably priced as well.

Top notch service, great atmosphere, focused wine list. In terms of the decor, fantastic!Really lovely. I started off with the grilled octopus starter, excellent. The cheese dish came next, so creamy and delicate. For Entrees, we got the steak and the cheese pasta, Wow,on both. Our server was really knowledgeable, and the manager came over more than once to check on us. Well Done Emporio

I give Emporio two stars generously - while the interior design is certainly appealing (if a little corny) and the staff was pleasant, the food was simply not up to par with the other Roman restaurants in NYC. We watched the meat server behind the bar actually cutting mold off of the house-cured meats. We even asked him what he was doing and he said as much. I am only giving two stars because our waitress was nice and friendly, and the pizza, while unexceptional, was certainly edible.

Emporio obviously has a good business plan - too bad that plan doesn't include actually serving top-quality food. They might be trendy at the moment, but our meal was VERY problematic - one dish had to be sent back, something I rarely do - and the service was spotty.

Emporio pretty much managed to sour every aspect of our experience - from the service, to the food, to the cleanliness of our booth. The ravioli was slimy and wet, our waitress chatted with her friends about ten feet away but never refilled our water glasses (we had to actually walk over to her to ask for service), and the table was sticky and dirty when we sat down. Emporio needs a LOT of work.

Emporio is a great place. I live in the neighborough, been there several times, I tried almost everything and I can guarantee they have the most autentic roman style Italian food you can find here in nyc. The staff was always really nice too, can't believe some of you didn't like it

I've been to Emporio a few times and have found the food bland, uninspired, and overpriced. The waitstaff are friendly but the quality of the food, considering the price, is fairly low. There are many better options for Italian dining in the city.
