Description
When Michael White left this Soho Italian standby, D.C. toque Fabio Trabocchi took over, and his decadent, almost French fare has set him apart. The redesign by Jeffrey Beers is a bit ho-hum (the chocolate, gold and burgundy decor reminded us of a steakhouse), but the food is considerably more interesting. We relished a beautiful bucatini that paired rare shrimp with shimmering sardines, and a rich pheasant entrée with pancetta, golden raisins and savoy cabbage. Meals are served only as three-, five- or seven-course prix fixes ($89–$125), so come with an expense account.

Simply FABULOUS!!! I was so relieved to have a wonderful experience there, since I suggested the restaurant and I was meeting my new boss....NO pressure! It is a great upscale restaurant in Soho where everything else is so not fine-dining...the bar had great atmosphere with a warm ambience and great service. I never thought of food as elegant before....Fabio Trabocchi's food is elegant as if it was coming from VOGUE...the taste is always smooth with a conjuction of different flavors. We loved it
