Description
In a city of gimmicky high-end Mexican restaurants and generic low-end chains, this lofty Soho eatery occupies a space somewhere in between. Peruse the notable selection of 40 tequilas (like smooth Herradura) and tuck into fare like Yucatan enchiladas filled with soft-boiled eggs and topped with mild and spicy salsas, or a saffron-scented fish stew, thick with cockles, bass, shrimp and guajillo peppers. Stick around for dessert: A satiny chocolate-espresso custard made with 70 percent Valrhona is superb.

I lived in Mexico a few years and all I can say is that this is a typical Mexican restaurant with typical food, not the Tex-mex crap that most serve. Service could be better but it is ok!
Delicious mexican without the streamers and cheesiness. Low key and elegant. Good drinks too
poor margaritas, poor service/ambiance, lame music. guacamole is good, the flautas are good too. 100% not impressed, average mexican in Soho.
