Look beyond the well-edited beer list at this Park Slope gastropub, and you’ll find a menu loaded with tasty, elevated pub fare. The comfortable, masculine spot (rough-hewn communal tables, exposed filament bulbs) starts off its meals with a small bowl of piping-hot fried chickpeas—a fine complement to a well-pulled pint. As for more-substantial offerings, the braised-pork cheek starter is meltingly tender, while an entrée of fish-and-chips is upgraded with flaky skate wing and fingerling potatoes. Don’t skip dessert, especially a moist, toffee-sauce–doused pudding spiked with—what else?—Guinness.
