Description
This Park Slope Italian spot is notable for austere decor (only a few picture frames dot the walls) and snotty service (our waiter mocked us when we didnt finish a flavorless appetizer of white beans and sausage). Only entrées proved redemptive: Tender lamb shank came with savory lentils, and excellent pastas hailing from Gotham noodle mecca Raffettos included a pappardelle in a tasty tomato cream with cubes of smoked bacon. Pass over desserts, like rock-hard balls of ice cream in thick chocolate shells.

This place is simply wonderful. Great fresh food - scallops, crab, mushrooms (porcini). A simple excellent affordable wine list coupled with a firendly hubbub. We had lumps of crab in a salad - delish, Gulf shrimp and taglioni pasta and roasted cauliflower with sausage. The problem is what to choose off the board as pretty much everything appeals. Go and enjoy - not too pricey either - mid range to low really. ($100 for 3 with wine. We didn't have desserts though too full)
