Confident preparations and high-quality ingredients are the hallmarks of this rustic Park Slope eatery. Tentacles do the talking in an appetizer of charred octopus, served simply alongside disks of potato, red pepper and olive oil. A pan-roasted flap steakplated with an exceptional potato pureewas equally good, though the accompanying sweetbread gravy was a tad thin. Creative flavor combinationssee the chocolate-hazelnut napoleon with star-anise–tinged creammake dessert a must-have.

A superb restaurant with exceptional foods presented at the peak to patrons by professional waiters with an instant recommendation by the sommelier. You feel welcomed as a special person and the invitation to come back more is always with you. The attention to patrons starts from the management to staff and when at Bussaco, you enjoy your time over and over. I congratulate the owner and the staff for a well deserved reputation.
