Description
Despite an affordable South American wine list and flashy decor, this Park Slope Mexican eatery cant compare to its more authentic neighbor, Tacos Nuevo Mexicano. The choose-your-filling tacos (we went with flaccid, underseasoned mahi-mahi) quickly devolved into a soggy mess, while a dry-aged strip steak with chipotle mashed potatoes was unforgivably tough. We can think of better ways to spend our cash, starting just a few doors down.

There is much better tasting food at Tacos Nuevo Mexico and Rachels Taqueria both in the neighborhood--a lot cheaper too with bigger portions. Piramide was a little expensive and not so tasty. They also offered a guacomole then charged us at the end, they took forever to actually bring us the menu.
I ate at Piramide and I can honestly tell you the food is great. I also tried mexico nuevo and the food was no comparision. the steak at Piramide was tender and delicious. carb quesidalla excellent. Mexico nuevo did not impress me the food was not that good. and their toliets were dirty. at Piramide the toliets were clean you could smell the freshness. I don't know how other's feel but for me cleaniness is very important. i
