Description
Even the most skeptical Southerners vouch for the barbecue here; Virgil’s has some of the tastiest brisket, ribs and pulled pork north of the Mason-Dixon, all smoked over hickory, oak and fruitwoods. Portions are Texas-size, and your knife and fork are folded in a hand towel, not a white cloth napkin, in case things get messy at the trough. Cram in a slice of sweet-potato pie or a bowl of banana pudding, and you’ll be more than ready to put yourself out to pasture—in this case, nearby Times Square.
