Description
After more than 75 years, this clubby sanctum for the powerful remains true to its past while thriving in the present. Chef John Greeley creates contemporary seasonal fare such as crisped black sea bass in champagne sauce. Also on offer are “21 Classics,” revived dishes that are part of culinary history; steak Diane, flambéed tableside, was on the restaurant’s first menu. The famous burger isa bargain at $29 ($26 at lunch). Its mix of ground lean meats gets a flavor boost from duck fat. Act like a magnate and sip an after-dinner drink in the front lounge, where original Remingtons line the walls.
