Description
Legendary chef-restaurateur Alain Ducasse teams with executive chef Joel Dennis at this temple of fine dining (and drinking) in the former LEspinasse space. Here, wine is the muse (the list includes 70 under-$50 selections among its 1,800-strong list), and the menu is equally decadent. Entrées, such as a sumptuous tenderloin and short ribs anointed with foie gras–truffle jus, are rich without being heavy. Ditto on the desserts, which include a could-be-legendary chocolate sorbeta cold chocolate core surrounded by a coating of pudding, coffee granita, vanilla cream and, in a Ducasse-worthy flourish, a gold-leafed chocolate disk.
