Description
We dont usually come to this hood for top-notch dining, so we were surprised to find one of the best sushi dens in the city. The centerpiece of the dark-wood-appointed, AvroKO-designed space is the glistening case of jewellike dishes. Foie gras atop a salmon, tuna and yellowtail roll elevates the already rich fish to a buttery supremacy, and a sashimi platter groans with an alluring landscape of seafood. Dont leave without sampling the Hoji blancmange, a roasted-green-tea custard.

This small and quaint midtown eatery was amazing. The food was great as well as the service. We had a sweet bartender by the name of Haliuna who was nothing short of fantastic. We will certainly be eating there again on our next trip and eager to see the restaurants face lift,
Good place, but for my money, blue ribbon sushi bar and grill at 58th is a better pick in midtown.
Amazing!!! I loved the spot.
Good modern decor, dreadful food. Don't know how they can charge such high prices for such sub par sushi. Service is also bad, we were rushed through our meal and presented with a cheque before we had even finnished our main course.
What a great place for sushi in midtown. I'm a sushi snob and fell in love with this place. It's small (designed by Avroko) and the quality of the fish, the knowledgeable staff and great ambiance make this my new favorite spot in midtown (where I live & work). You better go before the long waits start happening!
