Description
The intimate dining room, punctuated with dark wood accents and handsome leather chairs, is as alluring as it was when Lidia Bastianich first opened Felidia in 1981. Executive chef Fortunato Nicotra now helms the kitchen, turning out seasonal, ingredient-driven dishes like a lemony grilled octopus with potato, chives and black-olive sauce. Most plates, including a delicate roasted cod, are drizzled with olive oil so delicious you could drink it. Settle for one of the 1,300 bottles of wine instead.

Felidia has been my longstanding favorite restaurant. I dine at Felidia a couple of times of year and I am always pleased with the service and the food. Pastas are handmade and light as air; fish is always as fresh as can be. They also have the most incredible wine list…on my last visit I didn’t know what to get so the sommelier paired each course with a different glass of wine. Between the food, wine and service at Felidia it really is one of New York’s most fantastic restaurants. It promises to be a memorable meal each time!
