Description
The party comes first and the food is an afterthought at this clubby Meatpacking meat market in the former Lotus space. Chef Franklin Becker (Brasserie) offers bar snacks as well worn as a good pickup line: His tepid spinach-artichoke dip is a standard bowl of veggies and cheese, served with oily pita chips. Mains include a solid Creekstone Farms steak, plus less advisable options, like oversalted scallops topped with foie gras nuggets and lukewarm seared yellowfin tuna with bitter miso butter. On the upside, skipping entrées may leave you more limber for banquette dancing in the basement (yes, its that kind of place).
