Description
This restaurants flexitarian menu takes care of vegans, vegetarians
and meat eaters in a gorgeous space that features a wall of live foliage, among other green touches. Unctuous dishes (buttery lasagnette, oysters gratin) get as much play as virtuous ones (a vegan
bsteeya made with squash, chickpeas, and dried fruit). Even tempeh and tofu make appearances, if only to satisfy the Birkenstock crowd. But the chef has struck a balance: Theres plenty for diners weary of yet another Zen Palate meal. And for the rest of us theres familiar food with real flavor and even calories and fat.

I have officially given up on Broadway east. Been there twice, once for opening week, and more recently last weekend. The place is a complete mess service-wise, and the food has been hit or miss. And trust me, I truly was rooting for this place and the concept (i am a meat-eater and my wife is vegan).
Gourmet vegetarian. Was frankly surprised that vegetarian/health food could be so tasty. Very sophisticated, but comfortable surroundings. A beautiful oasis in an otherwise rather edgy neighborhood. Looking forward to when they start serving breakfast, since there are really no good places in the nabe.
First-class creative vegetarian restaurant in this special part of the LES. Ate there on a weekend night and found the place full and buzzing. Glad I had a reservation. This was vegetarian food at its gourmet best- no blandness, or forced flavoring here. Each dish was a mix of interesting and delicious tastes. My favorites were the baby cauliflower fritto miso, and the coconut tempeh over whipped potatoes and greens.
cool design interesting local... they are doing the pioneer thing, but menu looks horrible... no style : no direction & no liqueur license to boot ! good sake though
