Description
Mario Batali and chef Andrew Nusser have successfully ventured into Spanish territory with their tapas-style restaurant that seems to specialize in making dreaded foods irresistible: Sweetbreads in a nutty batter are fried and served atop fennel softened in anís del mono, and brussels sprouts— the bane of childhood—are surprisingly winsome and smoky. The most inspired dish is oxtail-stuffed piquillo peppers. Stop by Bar Jamón next door for an aperitif or after-dinner drink.
