From 10am until 2pm every day, you can explore Taipei-style offerings such as a crisp foot-long cruller meant to be dunked in steaming soy milk, or scallion pancakes filled with beef and hoisin sauce. The sparse dining room’s red-and-yellow decor may remind you of McDonald’s, but (happily) the similarity doesn’t extend to the kitchen. Late risers, don’t despair: Red-pepper–spiked soup noodles and braised beef are equally satisfying and served late.
