Description
The number of menu items barely exceeds the number of stools (14) at this diminutive soup stop. Behind a wooden counter, a company of cooks paces to and fro, ladling out bowls of the house specialty: ramen. The shio (salt) and shoyu (soy sauce) versions are excellent, but the curry ramensmelling of roasted applesis not to be missed. Add on an order of fried gyozadelicate pockets of minced pork, ginger and scallions enclosed in a featherlight batter. An-nin-dofu, delicious almond-flavored tofu cubes served with tiny bits of fruit, is the sole dessert.
