Description
Early hype has led to long lines at this East Village pizzeria named after its specialty, a slice covered in a creamy artichoke-and-spinach spread.
As a real new yorker, I <3 the rudeness of the man behind the counter(possible owner) he is just rude enough where you still pay for the food but have somethin 2 talk about. The first time I came here with my friend we both took on a slice of the artichoke and a slice of the margarita. We stuffed our faces and laughed with pure pleasure at the glutenous endeavor that we took on. We barely finished our 1st slice and only took a few bites of margarita. It was amazing A must try to pizza lovers

Artichoke pizza is overrated. Dough is too thick. No seating for overpriced pizza. Man at the counter is rude - when I commented that there were no seats he said the pizza should keep my mouth busy, a sly way of telling his first time (and last time) customer to shut up.

Is there a Brewery connected with Artichoke Basille's?
I am confused.

this place truly rocks: from the staff, to the tunes (who chooses that playlist), but *most* important -- their trio of slices: neapolitan, sicilian and their special artichoke-spinach slice are *spiritual* to eat!
