Description
Unlike many institutions that age ungracefully, Totonnos never had any grace to lose. Theres practically no service, the wall décor consists solely of newspaper clippings, and the pizza is served on Styrofoam plates, but people flock to this crumbling storefront simply for the astounding pizzathe only thing on the menu. The place could cruise by its reputation, but the simple piesfresh mozzarella, a chunky tomato sauce and a scant sprinkling of herbs over a thin crustare as good as theyve ever been.

This review is great because this is exactly accurate. I love the old time feel of classic places to visit and this is it. A simple shop, some old world architecture charm, antiqued tables and booths and amzing pizza! In my opinion, the best! This is an extremely nostalgic place for me as well with many family memories over 33 years. I recently did a photo shoot that will provide the feel and experience - http://danmarinophoto.blogspot.com/2009/03/another-sad-tragic-coney-island-event.html
