Description
Eating at Tripoli on a Friday night, you might be one of only two groups in the place. But the staff of this family-run Lebanese eatery don’t seem bothered: They’ve been serving their native cuisine in this Brooklyn Heights spot since the early ’70s, and they aren’t going anywhere. The restaurant turns out traditionally hearty staples like baba ghanoush and spinach pie, followed by meaty entrées, including charcoal-broiled leg of lamb and tahini-walnut-and-almond-crusted fish fillets. If you show up on a slow night, it feels as though they’re cooking just for you.
