Description
Seductive little Brazilian eateries don’t normally slip in under the cheapie wire. This Queens find is not only affordable, it’s also a lively, fun spot for a meal, bustling with young cariocas and paulistas in low-slung Brazilian jeans. Named for an Amazonian chili pepper, the place is, in a word, hot. Perfectly spiced appetizers include shrimp-topped pea fritters, and linguiça sausage served with yuca fries and delectable cilantro mayo. Hearty entrées follow, like moqueca de camarao, coconut-enriched shrimp and rice. Regulars come on Saturday for live samba and first-rate feijoada.
