There’s a sort of unintentional irony to a bar named for an era in which alcohol was outlawed, but that doesn’t stop folks from still boozing it up at this chic, martini-heavy hang. The crowd of Upper West Side locals also comes to the red-lit, rarely packed spot for tempting snacks, such as juicy mini cheeseburgers, and for live bands. The nightly playlist spans classic rock, hip-hop and R&B—no Victrola here.

One of the best bars in all of Manhattan, man! Live music every night, no cover charge, booze, hot chicks, I can't get enough. They just started doing Live Band Karaoke there as well which is AMAZING, a must-experience. You get a free shot for singing a song. This UWS relic is not to be missed, I'm telling you!
