Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant position is a great opportunity for someone to have ownership of projects and full involvement in the Finance Department. Working closely with the Controller, this person will be responsible for the proper reporting of the company’s operations.

Core Responsibilities:

• Month-end close including preparation of journal entries, supporting schedules and accruals
• Balance sheet analysis
• Variance analysis
• Preparation of financial statements
• Prepare and file Sales and Use, as well as Commercial Rent Tax
• Provide operational and financial analytical support
• Assist in annual budget preparation
• Primary liaison with external auditors
• Supervise Junior Accountant/Payables Clerk

Professional Requirements:

• Bachelors’ in Accounting or Finance
• 5-7 years’ accounting experience
• Proficient in Excel and Word
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to operate in a fast paced environment that at times will require operating on multiple fronts
