516
Description
**** [FOUR STARS] Truth and lies take on new dimensions in Katharine Clark Gray's thought-provoking new drama. The play follows a college dropout who earns a living writing papers for her former classmates, and tracks the consequences of her romantic involvement with one of her clients. Betrayers are betrayed, manipulations are exposed, and right and wrong are drawn in shades of gray. If the play is somewhat overlong and verbose, its cleverness and intelligence more than compensate. Todd Parmley's direction keeps the energy up within the cast of three (Kristina Valada-Viars, Ryan Tresser and Angela Vitale), who share a simultaneously intense and witty chemistry. With a little tightening, "516" could live on at any number of small theater companies.--Jena Tesse Fox, Temporary Assistant Credit Analyst
