Description
Bachir Attar, leader of Morocco’s fabled Master Musicians of Jajouka, joins rock scribe Anthony DeCurtis and filmmaker Augusta Palmer in a tribute to Palmer’s father, trailblazing New York Times music critic Robert Palmer. They’re celebrating Blues & Chaos, a new anthology of his writings, and The Hand of Fatima (see Film reviews), Augusta Palmer’s film documenting her father’s work with the Master Musicians. A gaggle of new-music luminaries join Attar onstage, and proceeds benefit his stellar ensemble.
