Over the course of its decade-long career, Japan’s Dir En Grey has jumped styles, from experimental to pop to progressive rock. It seems the current lineup has settled on a metal spine that still shoots out some rather sunny, goofy extremities. Like Japanese women dressing up in psychedelic schoolgirl garb, this band is a real head-scratcher, but definitely worth a peek.When
