Description
Cellist-vocalist Jody Redhage and her band Fire in July explore that hard-to-define region between contemporary chamber music and arty indie rock. On the first half of tonight’s program, Redhage performs music composed for her by Missy Mazzoli, Paula Matthusen and Wil Smith; the second half features Redhage’s original art songs played with a band of capable improvisers.
