Description
New York City Opera celebrates the tenth anniversary of its Vox program, an annual celebration of emerging opera composers and librettists. The schedule on Fri 5 starts with a roundtable discussion, followed with new works by Ted Hearne, Chandler Carter, Yoav Gal and Stephen Schwartz, and a second reading of Gordon Beeferman’s The Rat Land. On Sat 6, works by Christopher Cerrone, Jonathan Dawe, Michaela Eremiásová and Jairo Duarte-López, and Anne LeBaron lead up to Vox’s 100th opera, David Bruce’s A Bird in Your Ear.
