Description
Veteran director Andrei Belgrader offers a taut and austerely compelling production of Samuel Beckett’s bleak masterpiece. Max Casella makes a sympathetic Clov, the surly clown tending to his master ward, the blind, crippled Hamm (an inconsistent, roaring John Turturro); Elaine Stritch and Alvin Epstein bob in and out of ash cans in this absurdist classic.
