Description
Chinese band P.K.14 has been dubbed the Talking Heads of Beijing’s contemporary underground-rock scene—to which we’d add that Carsick Cars could be that scene’s Sonic Youth, and Xiao He its Mike Patton. The three bands arrive in New York for a tour arranged by Maybe Mars, Beijing’s most prominent alt-rock indie label; tonight’s show is also a release party for Sound Kapital, photographer Matthew Niederhauser’s chronicle of a currently exploding scene.When
