my favorite nyc party thus far. I just moved here last week, but someone else told me to go by the legendary Black Betty in williamsburgh. I'm glad Time Out is posting this. I checked it out last saturday night, and this guy Emskee has ridiculous skills on the turntables. I'm a fan of live dj's and he was playing a wide variety of music, all mixed together. Mostly records too. It was refeshing to see and he really kept people moving. I'm in again next saturday!! You should do the same. Amazing!

This party is hands down, THE place to go for an all around good time. The dj, i think his name is Emskee, mixes infectious, and mind blowing. When you can make a whole room of people groove mixing an old Sam and Dave record right into some hip hop records into some guilty pleasures songs you only hear in McDonalds somewhere into something else....it's really amazing. You never stop dancing and the cheap drinks prices are perfect to complete the night of fun.
