*** (three stars) Marco the Magic Man was sent to Earth from outer space in order to save the planet from its ho-hum existence: That's the premise behind Strange Attractor, written by Marco Frezza (who plays the Magic Man) with Mark Damian. His mission is to use his act to raise our general level of interest in the world, and at first it seems as though he's going to fail miserably; the show starts out slowly, with corny shenanigans that elicit groans from the audience. But Frezza soon builds momentum to performing some pretty impressive tricks. Over the course of a slightly bizarre but nonetheless rather entertaining hour, Frezza impresses with mind reading, teleportation and other magical feats. And though it is one that we have all seen before, his last stunt still has me wondering how he could have pulled it off.—Dara Stewart, Copy Editor
