Description
Richard Hannay (Sam Robards) evades killer spies, the police and a diabolical German professor in this spoofy, four-actor stage version of the 1935 Alfred Hitchcock noir thriller. And escape is what this amusing diversion offers the average theatergoer: 100 minutes of chuckleworthy theatrical silliness that, while never hilarious, is thoroughly clever. Goofy Arnie Burton and Jeffrey Kuhn do a bang-up job with the bulk of the multiple roles. Note: Although the production closes at the Cort Sun 4, it will reopen Jan 21 at the Helen Hayes Theatre.—DCWhen
