Tonight’s guests are novelists Ceridwen Dovey (Blood Kin, an allegorical tale about the temptations of power narrated by the detained employees of a deposed president) and Anne Landsman (The Rowing Lesson, in which a woman recalls the life of her dying father, who was a doctor in apartheid-era South Africa) and nonfiction writer Francisco Goldman (The Art of Political Murder, about human-rights abuses in Guatemala).
