The sexy decor at Sweet Ups makes you feel as if you’d walked into a detective novel (red velvet wallpaper, dark leather couches, dim lighting). Noir-sounding cocktails like the Rum Runner (Bacardi, Captain Morgan’s rum, and three types of juice) only heighten the mood. They’re just $5 during happy hour (5 to 8pm), and pints of Sweet Ups (the house lager) are $3.

I will never step foot in here again. You can try to enjoy their "Sweet Ups" lager (i.e. flat Coor's light) but the lines are so dirty you may get chunks of fungus in your pint. But that's not the worst. The bartender there is the biggest poser I've ever been served by. He comes off like he owns the place, maybe he does. What he doesn't realize is I've lived there longer than him, and he should be lucky to have customers. To his defense he may have been doped up on H. That's the way he acted.
