Description
Billy Phelps and John McCormick have somehow created a café-bar evocative of 1930s Paris in a former check-cashing store beneath the J-M tracks. (The recent film Eat This New York captured Moto’s rocky transformation on celluloid.) However, the menu is Italian, and the handpicked wines and beers include Belgian Corsendonk. The Pan-Euro attitude, easy subway access, and good food and drink in an intimate, quirky triangular setting make Moto a must-go.

Mon–Thu, Sun 6pm–2am; Fri, Sat 6pm–3am.
