Description
Morandi chef Jody Williams partners with owner Michael Bull to open this 40-seat enoteca. Fifty Italian wines are paired with bites like sausage-stuffed apples and wine-marinated baked beets with horseradish.
Someone I'd been seeing for about a month took me to Gottino for our first "real" date. He could not have chosen a more perfect spot to wow me - our intimate little table, the delicious wine, and absolutely AMAZING food all contributed to a beautiful dining experience I'll never forget.

Last night my lover and I popped into Gottino for a little bite. I think Gottino is THE BEST Italian wine bar in NYC with their long marble bar. Jody Williams, the owner and former chef at Morandi, labels Gottino a “gastroteca,” which means she thinks the food is much better than any normal wine bar. I have to sort of disagree with that. The food was rich and heavy. She was right about "gas"troteca, I had gas all night long from eating okay food.
