Read a book, paint your nails, do whatever—the waitstaff has your comfort in mind at this friendly candlelit bar. If you can’t decide among the 43 wines by the glass, Pudding Stones (which gets its name from the smooth, wide pebbles that cover grounds of many vineyards) offers generous three-pour flights of red, white or sparkling for $11–$15—delicious with a pot of garlicky, wine-soaked mussels. If you seem particularly oenophilic, the server just might take you for a spin around the joint’s pride and joy: a temperature-controlled closet stocked with 87 bottles.
