Homey but chic, Savoy is a perfect fit on its quiet cobblestoned corner, just steps from the mad consumer superhighway of Broadway. The country-modern bar area at street level is dominated by giant picture windows and a horseshoe-shaped slab of black stone, surrounded by a dozen saddlelike stools. Savoy takes house-made to a delightful extreme: It marinates the olives, fries the free potato and yuca chips, and even cures its own sour cherries for Manhattans.

Mon–Thu noon–10:30pm; Fri, Sat noon–11:30pm; Sun 4–10pm.
